C-Train is a light rail transit system in Calgary.  It began operation in May 25, 1981 and has expanded as the city has increased in population. The system is operated by Calgary Transit, as part of the Calgary municipal government's transportation department. It is now one of the busiest light rail transit systems in North America, with over 300,000 daily riders, and has been growing steadily in recent years. About 45% of workers in downtown Calgary take the C-Train to work.

Calgary International Airport

Calgary International Airport, originally named McCall Field (IATA: YYC, ICAO: CYYC), is the international airport that serves Calgary and the surrounding region; it is situated approximately 17 km (11 mi) northeast of downtown Calgary. The airport offers scheduled non-stop flights to major cities in Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe and East Asia.

Calgary International Airport serves as headquarters for WestJet and as a hub airport for Air Canada.  The airport is one of eight Canadian airports with US Border Preclearance facilities. The airport is operated by The Calgary Airport Authority as part of Transport Canada's National Airports System. It is Canada's fourth busiest airport by passenger traffic and 3rd by aircraft movements, handling 15,475,759 passengers in 2015 and 250,953 flights in 2014. In October 2008, The Calgary Airport Authority was named one of Alberta's Top Employers by Mediacorp Canada Inc. YYC has both the longest runway and the tallest free-standing control tower (and second tallest overall) in Canada. The airport is doing a major expansion project with its new International Facilities Project (IFP), which is scheduled to open October 31, 2016.
